Don’t Assume. Ask.

Hi there. This is just a quick note asking that if any who reads KindlingTruth begins to wonder over the intent or religious affiliation of this ministry, please just ask.

I do not spend my time learning about all of the Christian denominations or ideas. However, as far as I know, I do not fit in with any of them. However, I also believe that most have some true ideas. So, if something I write causes you to assume that my entire ministry is affiliated with a certain sect of Christianity, it would be in your best interest to ask instead of assume.

We should treat everyone this way. When we make assumptions about people without getting the facts, we risk making false judgments and accusations that lead to slander. You cannot read one or two articles here and know everything about where I stand. I don’t even know. This is a learning process.

We cannot know the hearts and intents of people. It is not a good idea to diminish the reputation of others with lying accusations and assumptions.

This ministry is founded on a love for truth–particularly he who is The Truth. For all you know, I could just be saying this. I could be using confidence tactics as many do. If you do not know how to judge “fruit” properly, then do not judge me. I try to be candid about my intents here as much as it is possible. If you have a question, you can email me.

Though some things I write might sound rough around the edges, this sharpness is not targeted at individuals. I cannot make such judgments, so do not be afraid to approach me. I’m here for the sake of those who need support, and sometimes that means tearing down things that destroy the faith of others. Those who love The Truth, Jesus Christ, are all in this together and should be helping one another grow first and foremost.

That is my goal. To grow myself first and encourage others as I share what I learn along the way.

I’m feeling so blessed! It’s awesome to hear from you. I love little coincidences like that. Whether it’s God or not, I don’t know. Maybe my faith needs to be stronger. We are doing great, thanks to the Lord. I hope you are well too!

These are the things that ye shall do: Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things I hate, saith the Lord.  — Zechariah 8:16-17
