Are We Giving God’s Glory to Another?

If you are reading this, then your heart is pumping. You are breathing. You are living. Who allows it? Who has every hair on your head numbered? Who knows every thought of your mind and every intent of your heart? By whom do all the laws of the universe hang in balance? Who cloths himself in the heavens?

Think about it. Everything created – ever – is upheld by the creator. Every moment of our life that passes He allows and places us in more debt to Him.

Do you ever just sit and think about who God is? Who Jesus Christ is?

Do we dare do anything to take HIS glory from Him?

We would like to say, “no,” but, we do. We do it every day, most of us.

God is patient and merciful, but just because we do not yet see His judgment does not mean it will never come. There will come a day when we need to be very certain whom it is we serve and whom it is we give all glory.

Before we can give God glory as we should, we need to know the Son, Jesus Christ – the real Jesus. The one who sits on the throne of God. The one who came and died so that we can live, so that we can be made servants and sons of God almighty instead of servants of sin and devils.

Satan would have you for his whore. He would use you to do harm to others. He would use you to take the Lord’s name in vain and bring dishonor to the house of God. He would destroy you in mind, body, and spirit. He is crafty, beautiful, and appears as everything you think you want. He usurps, twists, and distorts truth and makes you believe you are doing God’s work when you are not.

I will not be Satan’s whore. I will not serve Him. If I fail, I will not try to hide my sin from God, but I will repent and look to Him for forgiveness and more strength so that I do not fail again.

As powerful as Satan is, we have One who is stronger. If you have not yet received the Holy Spirit with power, then there is no better time than now to start seeking him. With the power of God himself within us, we have everything we need to overcome all evils in this world. God wants to give you His Spirit, but you have to ask – and ask often. It could be today or it could be years from now, but He will reward those who are serious about the kingdom of God.

If there are areas in our lives that have not been given over to the Lord, Jesus Christ, then let today and every day hereafter be the day we seek the Lord with all we have. Let today and everyday hereafter be the day of salvation from the bonds of sin and death. Let us push for the mark of the high calling that is in Christ Jesus, so that we can be made worthy of the adoption we have been chosen to obtain.

How can we call ourselves ministers or servants of Christ when we are doing the works of Satan? How can we lead or stand within an army of Jesus Christ when we are aligned with darkness? Let us serve the kingdom of God alone and stand firm against the prince of this world. We cannot serve both. When the battle comes, whose side will we be on?

These are the things that ye shall do: Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things I hate, saith the Lord.  — Zechariah 8:16-17
